Suzanne Dement is passionate about celebrating life’s most anticipated occasions. She got her start in the event industry as part of Sasha Souza’s Team I Do program and continued with this celebrity event planner to start Sasha Souza Events of Tennessee. After six years of developing her creative skills and orchestrating events to remember, she partnered with kindred spirit Ashley Teague to form Social Graces Events in 2012. A member of the Association of Bridal Consultants, Suzanne feels that inventive design and exceptional service are the keys to creating remarkable guest experiences. She especially loves being based between the two most influential music cities in the south.
A true southern girl, Suzanne was born in Memphis and grew up on a farm, the foundation of her lifelong love of animals and the outdoors. Currently residing in Jackson with her family, including two young children and a Toy Australian Shepherd named Sadie, Suzanne expresses her eclectic southern style at home with a mix of funky prints, antiques and unique pieces. She enjoys travel, amazing wine and culinary experiences, as well as relaxing with friends and family on the Tennessee River.
Ashley Teague’s artistic approach to events begins as soon as she learns of her client’s inspiration, and she adores the process of selecting fine stationery to set the tone for the entire affair. After graduating from the University of Tennessee, she perfected her talents while working as sales manager at Nashville’s famous Wildhorse Saloon where she coordinated and organized details for events ranging in size from 20 to 4,000 people including major corporate functions, rehearsal dinners, commercial and video shoots, and political campaign rallies. After six years of providing innovative solutions to a wide range of design and management challenges, Ashley decided to form Social Graces Events with longtime friend Suzanne Dement. From the first attention to detail to the finished event, nothing makes her happier than a satisfied client.
Born and raised in the south, Ashley married Jackson native and former NFL player Trey Teague in 2001. After his career took them from Denver to New York retirement in 2006, they decided to make their home in Jackson where they are raising two young children. Ashley enjoys entertaining, traveling with family and friends, hunting with her husband, and running.
